The New Xbox 360 Box-Console - Picture Inside

Here is a look at the box Microsoft just recently showed off at this years E3. It's a sleeker, smaller, redesigned Xbox 360. The image, courtesy of Engadget.com, shows what it looks like placed next to its bigger brother, the original Xbox 360.

Tell us what you think of it in the comment section.

We probably won't know that until it's been out for awhile. One interesting thing that I've learned is that Microsoft has gotten rid of the red ring of death. And by that, I do not mean that they've found a permanent fix for the errors. According to Kotaku, the new Xbox 360 will no longer use the three flashing red lights to signify a system error. Instead, Microsoft has chosen to simply have the center button change from green to red.

Indeed. The RROD has become almost a meme. Microsoft's giant enemy crab, if you will. Except hardware related, and like 10x worse PR-wise. But hey, sometimes you have to go through a Vista to get to a Windows 7, am I right? Being that it's been a few years now, I'm sure Microsoft has had time to take care of these issues. So as far as hardware longevity, I have higher expectations for this Xbox. :-)

It finally has what it should of had at launch, built-in Wi-Fi. A decent size hard drive. Too bad it still has a large power brick. Also, are you noticing that the consoles are becoming black or have a black variant. Just like the PS3 originally had and still does. Nintendo has a Black Wii and Microsoft's new Xbox 360 is black.

It's a sign of the apocalypse. Everything's going to be the exact same thing in the end.
