The P8I Staff are looking for new writers with the ability to deliver up-to-date news and content concerning video games and technology.

A writer for P8I.com is not only expected to report on the news, but to also create unique, insightful and originally written articles. Proper spelling and grammar is a must for all of our writers.

Benefits along with becoming a writer are as followed: An opportunity to establish your name as a writer, as well as being able to share your work with the entire gaming and technology community. You will have the chance to work side-by-side with fellow members of the P8I Staff, including writers, moderators, and administrators. Also, you will be awarded a colored rank exclusive to P8I writers on P8I.com.
In order to be chosen, we require that all applicants first create an article, of at least 100 words (we will make an exception if you're submission is very good), giving us an idea of your writing abilities. The topic is up to you, but we ask that it relate to video games or technology. Any topic is OK with us, it could be from an article you read today or a completely original piece, as long as it relates to video games or technology.

Apart from the essay, we will also need you to answer a few questions in your application:

1. What is your real name?

2. How old are you?

3. How long have you been writing, and what experience do you have with writing?

4. Do you have any examples of your writing? If so, share what you have.

To submit an application, send an email to: secondassault@yahoo.com Make sure you clearly state what the email is about in the title (example: P8I.com Writing Application). If you don't have an account on the P8I forum, you will need to create one as that is how we carry out all of our discussions.

Well, these policies have been in affect for awhile now. But yeah, I thought it would help us in choosing the right writers. So far, though, I haven't seen much interest. We'll see how much that changes after we start to acquire more members.

The 2010 E3 Expo is coming very soon. Lots of video games will be announced and details given out. That makes for an article rich environment.

So were you interested in writing for us again, Legend? Like you said, E3 is almost here, and it would be great to have some writers that could report on what's happening. If so, I will change your title to Moderator/Writer.

Yes NB, I'm interested in doing some writing for P8i. Also, I submitted an application to the e-mail address specified, but I haven't gotten a reply.

That's strange, because I never got it. Try resending it, or if that fails, send it directly to webmaster@p8i.com instead.

Well at this point in time, the only writers we have are me and Gazanator, not counting the two prospects (Legend and TheRuffian). And I don't think think any of us had planned on do reporting on Comic Con. So, my answer is "yes." If you can do some detailed reporting on what you see at Comic Con, we would absolutely like to have you.
